Getting Started

Introduction

What Online Ride Booking is and how the pieces fit together.

Online Ride Booking is a premium WordPress plugin for taxi, limousine, shuttle, and chauffeur businesses. It puts your whole operation on your own website: a multi-step booking form for customers, dispatch and fleet management in wp-admin, online payments, and self-service portals for customers, drivers, and corporate agents.

The three surfaces

The booking form is what your customers see. You place it on any page with a shortcode. It walks the customer through trip details, vehicle choice, and payment, calculates the price live on a Google map, and creates the booking.

The admin area is where you run the business. After activating the plugin a Ride Booking menu appears in wp-admin with everything from the dispatch dashboard to invoices, driver settlement, and email templates. Every screen in that menu has its own page in this documentation.

The frontend portal is a single page on your site (created automatically at /portal) that signs customers, drivers, and agents into their own dashboards — no wp-admin access needed.
