Drivers

Driver roster, profiles, portal accounts, and assignment.

Ride Booking → Drivers is your driver roster — every chauffeur who can be assigned to a trip, together with their contact details, driving-license credentials, and portal login.

The list

Each row shows the driver's name and email, phone, license number, license expiry date, and an active/inactive status badge. The toolbar has live search (name, email, phone), a column picker (your choices are remembered), and pagination at 25 rows per page.

Two shortcuts sit in the header:

  • Settlement — jumps straight to driver settlement, since payroll runs usually start from the roster.
  • Add Driver — opens the create dialog (below).

Click any row to open the driver's profile page. The row menu also offers Delete — deleting removes the driver profile only; if the driver had a WordPress account, that user remains and can be removed separately from WordPress Users.

Why license expiry is a column

The expiry date is surfaced on the list on purpose: expired or soon-to-expire licenses are a compliance risk, and this is the screen you scan before the week starts. The same dates also feed the compliance warnings on the plugin Dashboard.

Drivers and everything else

  • Assignment — you assign drivers from a booking's detail page, from the bookings list, or from the calendar. Assignment can notify the driver by email/SMS and moves the booking to Driver Assigned.
  • Driver portal — each driver gets a login to /portal where they see assigned trips, customer contact, navigation links, and earnings. Drivers never see wp-admin.
  • Live GPS — signed-in drivers share their position, which powers Track Drivers.
  • Payroll — completed trips per driver are reconciled in Settlement.
