Configuration / Settings
Email/SMTP
Sender identity, SMTP server, test delivery, and log retention.
Sender identity
- From name — what recipients see in their inbox
- From email — defaults to the WordPress admin email when blank
Custom SMTP
Use custom SMTP replaces PHP mail() with your outbound mail server — strongly recommended for deliverability:
- Host, Port (587 default), Username, Password
- Encryption — TLS, SSL, or None
Use your mail host's real SMTP hostname and the credentials of a mailbox on your domain.
Test delivery
Enter an address and Send Test Email. Save the SMTP settings first — the test uses what's stored. If it fails, the exact server error appears in the Email Log.
Log retention
Email log retention (days) — older entries are purged by a daily job (default 90; 0 keeps forever).
